Ayurveda offers two varities of massage based on Tridosha theory, Abhyanga (downward massage with oil) and
Udwarthana (upward massage). Abhyanga, comprised of effleurage, petrissage and tapotement which increases skin complexion,
relieves blockage in nerves and muscle pain, relaxes muscle, increases blood circulation, and promotes the strength of the body.
Udwarthana, comprised of tearing, ploughing and rubbing which stimulates venous circulation, relieves muscular hardness, stimulates the sweat gland and sebaccous glands thus promoting a lightness of the entire body.
Eden Garden offers special varities of oil massage developed by a combination of Ayurvedic massage and martial art (Kalari). Massages cover the whole body from head to toe. While doing oil massage, head massage must be done first since oil on the head can prevent the countereffect of heat coming up towards the head from the body. This massage stimulates and stengthens the Marma Points, the vital energie vortexes and leads to an enlivened and enriched physiology, promoting deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

1. General muscle relaxing massage (duration 75 min.)
Especially done to relieve muscular spasm, it promotes arterial and venous circulation. Good for travel fatigue, body toning etc. The massage is based on Abhyanga and Udwarthana.
2. Special joint massage
Especially used for relieving joint pain and stiffnes with highly potent herbal oil. This massage is based on Abhyanga.
3. Special rejuvenation massage done by hand (duration 90 min.)
This includes massage of muscles, joints, nerves and also the vital energy points with precious oil. It promotes complete relaxation, rejuvenation and is based on Abhyanga and Udwarthana.
4. Special rejuvenation massage done by hand and foot (duration 2 hrs.)
Specially developed massage techniques based on the scientific martial art (Kalari) combined with Abhyanga, especially meant for deep tissues. Head and face done by hand and body by hand and foot.
5. Abhyangam
Specially developed massage techniques based on Abhyanga done with oil all over the body in seven postures apt for the constitution. Mostly concentrated on head, ears, palms and feet. Followed by a medicated warm water bath. Promotes the complete effect of Abhyanga.
6. Udwarthanam
Specially developed massage techniques based on Udwarthana using levigated herbal powder all over the body especially head. The head will be massaged with oil. followed by a medicated warm water bath. Promotes the complete effect of Udwarthana.
